On Air: Lifelongjoints Partner Uppsala University

Maria Pettersson, PhD student at Ångström Laboratory of Uppsala University, has been interviewed by the Swedish national radio. Background is this year’s IgNobel Prize in Physics honouring Japanese researchers looking at the Frictional coefficient under banana skin. Maria Pettersson and the interviewers tested the friction between a simulated shoe and banana skin, grape and sea algues. Maria also managed to squeeze in a few sentences about her research and the friction in a hip.
