LifeLongJoints Research Fellow wins 2018 British Orthopaedic Research Society Travel Fellowship Award

Dr Saurabh Lal, Research Fellow, School of Biomedical Sciences received 2018 British Orthopaedic Research Society/Bone & Joint Research International Travelling Research Fellowship Award at the annual British Orthopaedic Research Society (BORS) conference held on 4th and 5th September 2017 at the Imperial College London.
The travelling fellowship involves close collaboration with a number of international centres of excellence in musculoskeletal research and will coincide with the ORS meeting in New Orleans in March 2018.
Saurabh, along with other five fellows, will present his research at the Centres and assimilate the work of the Centre through local presentations, lab visits and discussions. There will also be an opportunity for social and cultural interaction.
Saurabh has been contributing to LLJ WP2 and WP5 on isolation, characterization and biological evaluation of silicon nitride wear particles. He has also been actively involved in the preparation of the CEN Workshop 87 documents.
